Ectogenesis: the creation of an artificial womb

Ectogenesis is a term used to describe the creation of an artificial womb. Human artificial wombs could be a reality within the next 10 years. A baby will live and grow in an artificial environment until the nine month gestational period is over. Many scientists and doctors hope that the creation of a human artificial womb can help many infertile women and couples who want a biological baby.

Although there have been breakthroughs in animal artificial wombs, many people have never heard of ectogenesis or any studies that have been done to create an artificial womb.

Have you heard of ectogenesis?
Do you agree or disagree with ectogenesis?

No, I have not heard of ectogenesis before; it is an interesting topic. I think it would be great in terms of serving as a solution for infertile couples.

Hey ang, sorry i havent checked my email in awhile but i got yours now and wanted to contribute. ive never heard of ectogenesis and i dont think i agree with it either. it seems so unnatural for a baby to be born outside of a mother or another human being. interesting topic though! i wish i could read your paper. good luck!
